Then DS & now his son Sanjay

Nizamabad, Aug 03: In accordance with the latest allegations of sexual harassment on Nursing women of own college by D Sanjay, son of veteran politician and Telangana Rashtra Samithi's Rajya Sabha member D Srinivas, the issue got heat over the politics of Nizamabad.

For the last few weeks, the TRS leadership has been playing follow-the-leader over taking disciplinary action against its Rajya Sabha member and veteran leader from Nizamabad D. Srinivas.

In fact, everybody thought his days were calculated when Nizamabad MP K Kavitha and other TRS leaders submitted a memorandum to her father and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, saying that DS had been pleasing in anti-party activities by promoting his son D Aravind who recently joined the BJP.

But KCR has remained silent, thinking that DS would get out of the party on his own. That is why he refused to give a discussion to the veteran leader to listen to his version. But DS also maintained a businesslike silence hoping that everything would settle down in the rightful course of time.

But with DS refusing to quit on his own, the TRS leadership has started the attempts of atomizing him out of the party. The allegations against Sanjay, who is also a former Mayor of Nizamabad, are being viewed against this scenery.

On Thursday, the students of Shankary Nursing College, owned Sanjay accused him of sexually harassing them. However, they lodged a complaint with the Progressive Organisation of Women (POW), which in turn, forwarded the same to state home minister Naini Narasimha Reddy and Director General of Police M Mahender Reddy demanding action against Sanjay.

~ Yet, these allegations are being seen as an attempt to force DS to exit the TRS, claims the close party sources.

~ On the other hand, Sanjay is expecting a Congress party ticket to contest from Nizamabad rural constituency in 2019.
