Hyderabad: Minority Women leaders joins in TRS

Hyderabad, July 31: Several minority women leaders from Chandranayagutta Constituency have joined the TRS in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali here on Tuesday.

Minority leaders and workers from various political parties are joining the ruling TRS because of the development initiatives were taken up by the State government for the welfare of the Minority community, Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali said here on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said the government was concentrating more on minority development and allocating huge funds directly through the State Budget.

Minority leaders are happy in the State and they are utilizing the schemes without any intervention of middlemen, Ali said adding that Rs 2,000 crore was allotted in the 2018-19 Budget especially for the Minority welfare and nowhere in the country such huge funds were allocated for them.

He said Shaadi Mubarak, Minority residential schools, auto loans, overseas scholarships and other schemes have brought change in the lives of minorities."The previous government's led by Congress and TDP did nothing for the welfare of minorities and they used them for vote bank politics," he further added.
