New Delhi, July 27: Despite all the flak he received, recently, for his show in the ODI series loss against England, MS Dhoni still rules the hearts of fans as far as admiration is concerned.
According to a recent survey by yougov.co.uk, Dhoni finished ahead of current India skipper Virat Kohli and legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar. Dhoni was also the second most admired person in India only behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The survey showed Dhoni having an "admiration score" of 7.7%. Arguably India's greatest cricketer of all time Sachin Tendulkar perched below Dhoni, scoring 6.8% and stalwart captain and prolific batsman Virat Kohli is much lower down the list than one would have expected, receiving votes accounting to a mere 4.5% on the scale in consideration.
Notably, Dhoni is one of the most successful captains who has won every ICC Trophy possible. Over 4 million people participated in the survey.
