Governor advise to Hyd Metro Rail Officials

Hyderabad, Jul 16: The Governor for AP and Telangana ESL Narasimhan accompanied by his wife Vimala took a metro ride from Begumpet to Ameerpet and then changed platforms onwards to Miyapur on Sunday evening catching the metro rail officials by surprise.

However, L&T Metro Rail officials noticed the Governor at Ameerpet station and alerted HMR MD N.V.S. Reddy, who was on work inspection at Kukatpally. He received the couple at Miyapur station and despite Mr. Narasimhan refusing any protocol, Mr. Reddy insisted on showing him and his wife the facilities developed by them.

The MD later said that the Governor was "highly impressed" by the facilities provided for passengers at Miyapur and other stations. Stating that the Hyderabad Metro Rail was one of the best in the world, Mr. Narasimhan congratulated Mr. Reddy, HMR team and L&TMRH.

He advised the HMR team and officials to develop some stations as art museums on the lines of Moscow metro and ensure the establishment of more shops to cater to people's daily needs, a release said.
