Shah Rukh Khan to compete with former Prime Minister

Mumbai, Jul 12: Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan's much-awaited sci-fi film 'Zero' starring Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif slated to hit the screens on December 21, 2018. It has been helmed by Aanand L Rai.

Interestingly, the biographical political drama will clash with Shah Rukh Khan's Zero at the box office. In his recent interaction with fans on Twitter, when a fan asked him about the release date of The Accidental Prime Minister, he replied, "21st Dec, 2018."

However, Shah Rukh Khan and Anupam Kher share and great bond and have worked together in blockbusters like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenga, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Mohabbatein, Veer-Zaara, Darr and many more.

Talking about Anupam Kher's film on PM Monmahon Singh, the film is based on a book by Sanjaya Baru, a former media advisor to Manmohan Singh.

Akshaye Khanna features as Baru, and Divya Seth Shah plays Manmohan Singh's wife Gursharan Kaur in the movie. It is directed by debutant Vijay Ratnakar Gutte, along with Hansal Mehta as the creative producer. It is produced by Bohra Bros, is written by Mayank Tewari.

On the other hand, SRK’s Zero features him in a dwarf avatar. According to Rai, this is a story that celebrates the imperfections in one's life. This is the first time that Shah Rukh and Aanand L Rai have collaborated for a project together.

Well, we honestly think, this clash will affect Anupam Kher's film more compare to Zero due to its genre and mass appeal. So it'll be better if the makers of The Accidental Prime Minister shift the release date of their film.
