Tollywood hero signs prestigious Bollywood film

Hyderabad, Jul 10: Tollywood King Nagarjuna has been roped in upcoming Bollywood movie Brahmastra in which his best friend Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt are playing the lead roles.

According to the latest update, Akkineni Nagarjuna is making his comeback in Hindi Film Industry. He has signed an upcoming Bollywood movie titled Brahmastra, after a break of several years.

The sources say that Nagarjuna will play an important role in this upcoming movie, in which Sanju star Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are playing the lead roles. Brahmastra also stars Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

Nagarjuna is not news for Bollywood audiences. He made his Hindi debut with Shiva and is popular for several Hindi movies like Huda Gawah, Zakhm, and Criminal. Nagarjuna was last seen in LOC Kargil, directed by J. P. Dutta, which was released in 2003 and was a decent hit at the box office.

The sources close to Nagarjuna say that from long time the actor wanted to become the part of Hindi film but was waiting for an interesting project and when he gets the offer to play key role in Brahmastra, he agreed to become the part of this film in which his friend Amitabh Bachchan is also playing important role.

Ayan Mukherjee, the director of 'Ye Jawaani Hai Deewani', is helming Brahmastra and it is being produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions. Pritam is rendering the tune.

Recently during the media interaction, Aryan Mukherjee opened up about Brahmastra and said, "Brahmastra is a weapon of Hindu God Brahma, who is called the creator of the universe. It's a modern-day film set in India. But the reason it's called Brahmastra is that the energies, wisdom, powers in the film come from ancient India."

On the other side, currently, Nagarjuna is sharing the screen space with Natural star Nani in Sriram Aditya's directorial venture 'Devadasu'.
