TATA NANO will soon disappear from the market

New Delhi, July 05: Nano car is one of the most loved cars by the common man, during 2008, Nano car has established a record number of sales in that year, now it was down to very low (in sales). The company said the model could not survive beyond 2019 in its present form.

In this regard, Ratan Tata, Chairman of Tata Group Tata Motors has decided to remove the Nano car manufacturing unit.

In June when it sold only three cars in the country. In the case of stopping the production of nano cars, the stock markets have revealed that they have not received any export orders in June.

In June 2017, 275 units were manufactured and this year it has fallen to one unit and sold 167 units in June last year.

A spokesman for the company said that Nano cars could not be maintained in the present conditions, but said it would not yet be decided on the Nano manufacturing unit if it put in more investment after 2019. The cars will be built on the basis of demand from consumers.

The company had launched the compact car – a brainchild of the former chairman of the group, Ratan Tata – in 2008, calling it the world's cheapest car. It was priced at Rs 1 lakh at its launch and was touted as an alternative for families driving two-wheelers.

"We are well aware that the Nano in its present form cannot continue beyond 2019 and may need fresh investments to survive," a company spokesperson told to media. “No decision has been made yet in this regard. We continue to produce Nano catering to customer demand in key markets.”
