Pawan Kalyan replaced by Ravi Teja

Hyderabad, Jul 03: Tollywood Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja was supposed to work on an interesting project which is the remake of the popular Tamil movie 'Theri'. The original film stars Ilayathalapathy Vijay in the lead.

The makers changed the entire second half for the Telugu version and initially approached Pawan Kalyan. Pawan announced his retirement by that time and hence the makers took the subject to Ravi Teja.

Ravi Teja was happy to work with a dedicated team and the project announcement was also made.

Director Santosh Srinivas worked on the film's script for almost two years and is still waiting for the dates of the actor.

The latest reports reveal that Ravi Teja has put the project on the back burner as he wanted to wrap up Sreenu Vaitla's Amar Akbar Anthony first.

Initially, the actor planned to shoot both the movies simultaneously but later, he decided to finish one at a time.
