Earthquake in Nellore

Nellore, June 30: In a shocking incident, A Minor earthquake has occurred in Nellore District today early morning at 3 AM and this is the third such occurrence in the recent past.

There tremors are felt mainly at Varikuntapadu, Jadadevi, Kadiyampadu, Lakshmipuram, Dasaripalem etc. The official details of earthquake report yet to be revealed.

Everyone was busy in their works when these tremors were felt and they were all shocked with this earthquake and came out running out of their homes.

However, there was no loss to life or property following the tremors.

In is not new to this region, which comes under the moderate damage risk zone, had witnessed 12 earthquakes in the past 30 years, including two major ones in 1967 and 1959, with magnitudes of 5.4 and 5 on the Richter scale, respectively.
