Mumbai: Chartered Plane crashed into a building

Mumbai(Ghatkopar), June 28: Killing at least five people, including the pilot, 3 passengers and a pedestrian, a 12-seater chartered aircraft has crashed in Mumbai's Ghatkopar area. The plane has crashed into a construction site.

According to the information available from sources, the chartered plane crashed at 01:35 pm on Thursday at Old Malik Estate, near telephone exchange, in Mumbai's Ghatkopar.

It is informed that the plane had taken off from Juhu for testing. The plane caught fire immediately after it crashed. The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.



The plane crashed in a densely populated area, but luckily it crashed on an under-construction site, which is likely to bring the number of casualties in the incident.

Mumbai's Metropolitan Fire Brigade, 108 ambulance service and police services have been mobilised. A team of National Disaster Relief Force has also been rushed to the spot.
