Why Rajinikanth avoided this director?

Chennai, June 26: It's a well-known fact that Gautham Menon and 'Chiyaan' Vikram are coming together for the spy-thriller 'Dhruva Natchathiram', which is expected to be wrapped up by the end of this month.

Sources say that after Suriya walked out of Dhruva Natchathiram, Gautham Vasudev Menon narrated the script to Superstar Rajinikanth who loved the film and promised the director he would definitely do the film for Thanu's V Creations. But later someone told bad about Gautham Menon and the film was eventually dropped.

In an interview, the filmmaker said he pitched Dhruva Natchathiram to the Tamil superstar after producer Kalaippuli S Thanu arranged a meeting with the latter.

In fact, Rajinikanth was impressed with the script narrated by Menon. "On hearing the script of Dhruva Natchathiram, he was excited and asked me on the number of days required, budget and technicians. He also advised me not to tell the news to anyone other than my family members. But in the evening, I got a call from Thanu sir that someone changed Rajinikanth's mind and told a lot of bad things about me."

Because of Rajinikanth's exit, Gautham Menon narrated the script to Vikram who was bowled over by the idea and started shooting for the film.

Gautham will be completing the shoot of Dhruva Natchathiram in another three weeks and start working on the post-production of the film.
