Vijayawada December 16 : "Andhra Pradesh has registered 5 per cent more growth in comparison to all India growth rate, in spite of the issues related to united State bifurcation," Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has said in a meeting.

At a meeting held with Principal Secretaries, Secretaries and Heads of various departments at the Velagapudi Secretariat, the Chief Minister discussed the achievements of the first half during the year 2016-17.

A detailed road-map was laid to achieve targeted growth rate of 15.28%, which is set for the first half during 2016-17 was 16.42% but due to insufficient rainfall and other bifurcation issues, the state has achieved 12.23% growth rate, mentioned the Chief Minister.

He directed the officials to come up with implementable action plans to achieve a growth rate of 14.41 per cent in the second half of 2016-17.

The Chief Minister congratulated the Energy department on their outstanding performance. Stating that the department stood first in the power sector, he appealed to the other departments to take a cue from the energy department.

Due to various water conservation activities like Neeru Chettu, Panta Sanjeevani taken up during the last few months, agriculture has shown an impressive growth the Chief Minister said. Adding to that the C.M also mentioned that if those activities are carried out without interruptions, high growth rate can be achieved in agriculture and allied sectors.

He mentioned an interesting fact that though the aqua sector was provided lesser budgetary allocation, it registered an impressive growth and this should be an inspiration for others and the same should be followed to make Andhra Pradesh a leading state in aqua production in the world.

The Chief Minister laid down 15 key principles for Kutumba Vikasam, 10 principles for Samaja Vikasam and 17 other goals for sustainable development. All of these should be understood and kept in mind while performing your duties the Chief Minister advised.

'My aim is to provide 10 thousand rupees per month as income to every family and our civil services department should be the best in the world,' added the Chief Minister.

He said thousands of families got benefited from the recently held land regularization scheme in Visakhapatnam and mentioned that he was happy to see many families in a joy filled mode and suggested that other programmes and schemes should be implemented in a similar manner.

Our priority is to make each and every person happy in the state and we should work towards it, he added.
