New Panama Papers leak linking Indians

New Delhi, June 21: Panama papers scandal come back again to the limelight. Two years late there were some more investigative documents came from the Law company Mossack Fonseca.

In this regard, The Indian Express has published a story of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), which has published more than 12 lakhs new papers.

The South German newspaper has collected all the present documents.

About 12,000 documents are related to Indians. In 2016, there are about 500 Indian names in the documents belonging to the Mossack Fonseca.

The Government of India has set up the Multi Agency Group (MaG) to conduct an inquiry into them. The MAG has identified nearly Rs.100 crore black money through 2016 leaks.

What's in the new leak?

New documents include the names of many prominent businessmen from India. These names are not in 2016 leaks.

These include Ajay Bijli, owner of PVR Cinemas, and members of his family; Kavin Bharti Mittal, the chief executive officer of Hike Messenger and son of Sunil Mittal, and Jalaj Ashwin Dani, son of Asian Paints promoter Ashwin Dani, The Indian Express reported. The report says 426 clients from India are being investigated.

They have links.

The names of some celebrities who have renounced their names in Panama papers have come out again. ICIJ journalists earned surety evidence that they have business links with offshore companies. These are the names of the celebrities.
