Tragic accident: 6 Children killed after car falls into pond

Bihar, June 19: In a tragic incident, Six children were killed in a road accident in Bihar after the car they were traveling in fell into a pond. Four others have been injured.

The incident took place on Tuesday in Araria district in Bihar. The children were traveling with four adults in a Scorpio car when the tragedy occurred.

The passengers were returning from a marriage ceremony. The driver of the car lost control over the vehicle near Dabra village resulting in a collision with a tree following which the fell into the pond.

Six children died on the spot while others were taken to a nearby hospital.

The deceased had been identified as Golu Kumar, 8, Naina Kumari, 8, Mithun Kumar, 10, Karan Kumar, 10, Ajay Kumar, 12, and Nitish Rishidev, 14, the station house officer said.
