Hyd Metro Rail Trail run from Ameerpet to LB Nagar begins

Hyderabad, June 18: In a significant development, The trail run of Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) will begin from today, between Ameerpet and LBnagar stations, as the Central Chief Electrical Inspector, D.V.S. Raju, has given the green signal.

L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited (LTMRHL) on Monday announced that DVS Raju, Chief Electrical Inspector (CEIG) for Hyderabad Metro Rail, conducted the statutory inspection of Overhead Electric Traction System (OETS) between Panjagutta to LB Nagar Metro stations and accorded sanction for energisation of OETS at 25kV AC.

Mr Raju after conducting the inspection said, "Energisation of the OETS will facilitate movement of trains for trial runs from Ameerpet to LB Nagar (stage 5) and there by connecting the entire Corridor-I from Miyapur to LB Nagar."

"This is an important milestone for Corridor I. We are thankful to Mr Raju for inspecting and approving stage 5 energisation from Panjagutta to LB Nagar. This will also enable us to test other systems of the metro rail and thereby start the trial run as per our commitment to complete all statutory requirements." LTMRHL Managing Director and CEO KVB Reddy said.
