Washington, June 16: Days After Donald Trump met with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un in Singapore, the president touted the strength of the two leaders' relationship.
"I can now call him," he told reporters at the White House on Friday. "I gave him a very direct number. He can now call me if he has any difficulty. We have communication.
"I'm going to be actually calling North Korea," Trump told to media in an interview when asked what he planned to do on Father's Day, without saying who he would be speaking to.
"I can now call him. I can now say, 'Well, we have a problem.' I gave him a very direct number. He can now call me if he has any difficulties, I can call him," Trump said during an impromptu news conference on the White House lawn.
