Weather in next 24 hours

Hyderabad, June 11: Even as the Southwest Monsoon was active over Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, the city by Monday still waited for its share of rains.

On Monday, there were a few spells of light to moderate rains over isolated parts of the city, with no parts recording even 5 mm rainfall.

The Indian Meteorological Department said according to annual averages, the city, as well as Warangal (Urban), was witnessing deficient rainfall. The same applies to rainfall measurement taken for a period of ten days from June 1.

The weather conditions remained cool in the day, with the maximum temperature hovering at 34 degrees Celsius, a full 2 degrees Celsius above normal. The nights have gotten cooler though, with cool breezes felt in many parts of the city and a minimum temperature of 24 degrees Celsius.

On Tuesday, the Heavy rains were expected to go down a couple of notches, to 33 degrees Celsius. Not more than one or two brief spells of rain were expected, IMD officials said.
