Akhil charges whooping remuneration

Hyderabad, June 06: Tollywood Hero Akhil Akkineni has witnessed the back to back debacle at the box office, but he is enjoying nice following and also hype in brand circles. That's the reason he has come out with an ad for a popular watch brand and also a soft drink much before he debuted as a hero.

According to the sources, Akhil charged nearly 8 lakhs for his 15 minutes appearance at the gym along with heroine Lavanya Tripathi. Generally, the likes of some starlets including Kajal and Tamanna command such a price for ribbon cuttings, but a two-film old hero making the similar demand is rare.

Before becoming a hero, he was the brand ambassador for Mountain Dew and Titan watches. He then acted in several ads. Akhil, who is active in social media, has a large number of followers.
