Telangana: This is what dedication is; KCR delighted everyone

Hyderabad, June 05: Rythu Bandhu scheme (or) Farmers Investment Support Scheme (FISS) is a welfare program to support farmer's investment for two crops a year by the Government of Telangana.

The Govt of Telangana provides Rs. 4000/acre per season to support the farm investment, twice a year, for rabi and kharif seasons. This is a first direct farmer investment support scheme in India, thereupon the cash is paid directly.

The total farming land is 1.43 crore acres and the number of farmers in Telangana registers at 58.33 lakh. Around 55% of the population in Telangana depend on their living on agriculture.

3. 5 acres - 11 lakhs - 18.8%

4. 5-10 acres - 4.4 lakhs - 7.5%

6. > 25 acres - 6488 - 0.1%

7. > 50 acres - 298 - 0.005%

Despite all this:

Speaking at an event, KCR asked the farmers to perform the best in the nation. He said state Peasantry will organize 'Crop colonies' for farmers. Also, explained 'Agro-climatic conditions' to the farmers.

Asking farmers to grow the crops in such a way that each one should get demand in the market than expected. He claimed farmers for the competition in the same crop cultivation and that resulted in the price cut.

He also praised peasants of Ankapur village, Nizamabad district for their strategical formula in agriculture.
