World Environment Day 2018 theme: We are responsible

New Delhi, June 05: Every year on June 5th marks World Environment Day(WED) and is the United Nation's chief conveyance for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment.

It has been an optimum campaign for elevating awareness on unfolding environmental issues from marine pollution, over-population and global warming, to sustainable consumption and wildlife crime.

It has developed to become a global platform for public overact, with participation from over 143 countries annually.

Each year, it has a new theme that major corporations, NGOs, communities, governments and celebrities worldwide adopt to advocate environmental causes.

The theme of 2018:

~ The theme for the World Environment Day 2018, "Beat Plastic Pollution". The host nation is India. By picking this theme, it is intended that people may endeavor to changes in their day-t-day lives to reduce the abundant trouble of plastic pollution.

~ Humankind should be free from the over-reliace on single-use (or) disposables, as they have harsh environmental importance. We should detach our natural places, our wildlife - and our own health from plastics.
