Hyderabad, June 04: The Indian Metrological Department has said on that, Heavy rains and thunderstorms have been forecast across many districts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for the next six days beginning Monday.

In its forecast for the next few days issued on Sunday, the IMD warned that all districts can expect thunderstorms accompanied with gusty winds while isolated locations can expect heavy rains.

Meanwhile, with conditions turning favourable for rains and prevailing cloudy weather in many parts of the State over the past 24 hours, temperatures dipped below 40 degrees in many places. Only four of the 10 observations stations registered temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius or more on Sunday, the IMD said.

While the highest maximum temperature of 42.2 was recorded at Ramagundam, the lowest maximum of 37.5 was recorded at Hanamkonda. Sunday's temperature in Hyderabad, the IMD said, was 37.8 degrees.
