Telangana: New scheme with 52 free medical tests

Hyderabad, June 02: The CM KCR led Telangana government, which is already in full swing with schemes like farmers 'Rythu Bandhu', 'Rythu Bheema', has designed another attractive scheme titled as 'Telangana Diagnostic Scheme'(T- Diagnostics), which offers free of 52 tests to people, will be officially launched on 8th of this month.

KCR already informed that this scheme will be taken to avoid the extra financial burden on the medical tests of the poor people. The scheme is currently undergoing an experimental phase in Hyderabad and it examines 5,000 blood and urine samples from 50 town health centers.

As part of the free medical services available to government employees, pensioners and journalists, the samples collected will be officially launched from Friday onwards and will be inaugurated on next Friday(June 8). The Commissioner of Family Health Welfare said that initially, 120 urban health centers in Hyderabad will be provided with services, and then phase-wise to launch labs in all old district centers.

"There is an advanced laboratory available for blood tests, In addition to this, we will build another laboratory with Rs. 4 crores in urban primary health centers, social health centers, regional and district hospitals, "the official said. At least 10000 samples can be tested and reports will be provided through online.

Diagnosis of typhoid, dengue and malaria, diagnosis of liver, kidneys, thyroid level, blood cholesterol, and three months of sugar in the blood tests will be covered in this scheme. In addition, 13 Diagnostic Scans of 13 urban social health centers, CT scan machines in four regional hospitals and the MRI machine in the district hospital will also be covered under the T- diagnostics.
