Hyderabad, June 02: Telangana is celebrating the formation day at the parade grounds. The celebrations will be held in all the 30 districts of the state simultaneously.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will complete four years in office on June 2. His party, the Telangana Rashtra Samiti aims to retain power in 2019 on the back of populist schemes initiated by Mr Rao.

Mr Rao has been addressing the public from the Parade Grounds on Saturday, will announce key decisions on jobs for youth.

Telangana is celebrating formation day celebrations from 2 to 7 June. CM KCR paid tribute to Telangana martyrs. Later, he received Honorary Salutation from TS police after which KCR unveiled National Flag at Parade Grounds.

The Government of Telangana has organised for a series of programmes to showcase the State’s unique heritage, tradition & culture to the world through various literary works & seminars.

Different art forms such as dance, drama events, music shows, film screenings and photo exhibitions. The special attraction at the event is the food festival which presents the typical Telangana food items.

While power, irrigation, drinking water and agriculture were the prime focus areas in the last four years, unemployed youth and employment generally will be the focus in the election year.

The government has rolled out 18,428 new police posts, a new registration system and a comprehensive insurance scheme for farmers as part of the celebrations.

The state government has readied notifications to fill over 25,000 posts in June to mark State Formation Day.

TRS sources said the CM is expected to announce creation of 50,000 jobs which will be filled within six months.

Telangana recently launched 'Rythu Bandhu' scheme which provides farmers Rs 8,000 as input assistance for two crops every year.



KCR introduced many welfare schemes benefiting the poor including KCR Kit Scheme for pregnant women, A flagship programme of the government Mission Kakatiya for irrigation, Mission Bhagiratha– Drinking Water Supply Project, Haritha Haram – envisages increasing the green cover of the State, Kalyana Lakshmi/ Shaadi Mubarak – financial assistance at the time of marriage, Arogya Lakshmi – nutritious meal every day to pregnant and lactating women, Aasara pensions– Old age pensions, Housing for the poor – 2 BHK houses, Land distribution to Dalits,Rice distribution, SHE Teams, Sheep distribution and last but not least 'Rythu Bandhu Scheme' for Farmers giving input subsidy.
