Telangana announces whooping package for Ramzan celebrations

Hyderabad, May 31: The Telangana government will host 'Dawat-e-Iftar' for Muslims across the State as part of the holy month of Ramzan on June 8

In this regard, The Telangana government has granted Rs 33 crore for the Ramzan festival, out of which Rs 15 crore is spent on Iftar feast, Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali said.

He also directed officials to make elaborate arrangements for an official State Iftar at LB Stadium on June 8.

He also said the government has made arrangements for distribution of 500 gift packs at each of the mosques beginning May 31.

the government has sanctioned Rs 1 lakh each for 800 masjids in the State for holding Iftar during the month of Ramzan.

Speaking at the media conference, Mahmood Ali said, "Iftar has ordered the authorities to make arrangements for all arrangements. He said 500 gift packets (towels) were offered to the mosque for 800 mosques across the state. 400 mosques in the city and 400 mosques in different districts are offering these gift packs.

He also said that After the formation of the Telangana state, the welfare of the minorities is allocating higher funds in the budget. The Telangana state is in the first place in all areas of the country.

Mahmood Ali ordered the power department officials to make arrangements to prevent electricity during the Iftar feast. The Public Relations Department told the Civil Information Department officials to establish the LED screens along with the public address system.
