RR Nagar election result: After 10th round of counting?

Bangalore, May 31: The Congress was leading in the Rajarajeshwari Nagar assembly constituency here by a margin of over 46,218 votes where counting began this morning amid tight security, as per initial trends.

Congress candidate Muniratna leading with 46218 votes from Rajarajeshwari Nagar Assembly constituency after tenth round of counting.

RR Nagar recorded around 53 percent voter turnout in all 471 polling stations on May 28.

A total of 14 candidates are in the fray in the constituency.

Contesting for the seat are Munirathna from Congress, BJP's Muniraju Gowda, Janata Dal (Secular) candidate G. H. Ramachandra and 11 other candidates.

Before the May 12 polling for Karnataka assembly polls, 9,746 voter ID cards were found from a flat in SLV Park View Apartment in Bengaluru's Jalahalli locality by Election Commission (EC) officials on May 8.

After 9th round of counting, Congress candidate Munirathna leading by a huge margin of 46218, He has secured 75282 votes. BJP's Muniraju Gowda is far behind with 31,182 votes and GH Ramachandra of JDS has got only 19,509 votes.

About 53 percent out of the 4.71 lakh voters in the constituency had exercised their franchise on May 28.
