Andhra Pradesh gets its new state symbols

Vijayawada, May 31: Andhra Pradesh Govt has been declared the state symbols here on Wednesday.

According to the reports, The govt has declared that Neem and black buck have the state tree and animal respectively of Andhra Pradesh.

On Wednesday, Andhra Pradesh Forest Secretary Chief Minister Anantharam has released the GO. These symbols are officially coming into force from June 6th of next month.

The rose-ringed parakeet will be the state bird while jasmine the flower, Principal Secretary of Environment and Forests G Anantha Ramu said in an order on Wednesday.

"The government felt that it is necessary to have separate symbols for the state after the bifurcation. Accordingly, the symbols have been notified for Andhra Pradesh," the order added.

We all knew that Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated to create Telangana in June 2014.

State Symbols:

# State Tree: Neem

# State Animal: Black Buck

# State Bird: Rose Ringed Parakeet

# State flower: Jasmine
