AP CM Naidu slams BJP over Special Status

Amaravati, May 28: The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today sought to counter BJP National president Amit Shah's comment that the plans for the AP capital were still stuck in Singapore.

Speaking at the Mahanadu on Monday, he said Amit Shah was misleading the people and said the plans of Amaravati are already there and the tenders worth Rs 24000 crores are already called for. He said Amit Shah was spreading falsehoods. He said the Centre was trying to attack the State Government despite not sanctioning funds for the works in Andhra Pradesh.

He said Amit Shah has no right to ask for Utilisation Certificates from the Andhra Pradesh Government. He said the BJP was trying to meddle in affairs of governance.

He demanded that the Central Government should reveal the funds given to the state government. He said that the BJP was using Pawan Kalyan to attack him.
