Mudragada slams CM Chandrababu, demands CBI inquiry

Hyderabad, May 28: The Andhra Pradesh former Minister and Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham dared Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to seek a CBI inquiry into the allegations made by the former chief priest, A.V. Ramana Dikshitulu, against the TTD, particularly the missing of the Lord's jewellery.

In a letter addressed to Mr. Naidu, a copy of which was released to the media here, Mr. Padmanabham wondered why the State government, instead of proving its propriety, was resorting to personal attacks on Mr. Dikshitulu.

"You claim to be a clean and sincere man. Then why don’t you ask the Centre to order a CBI inquiry? It will help the world know about your sincerity," Mr. Padmanabham said.

"Realise that the Kapus in your party are working for the cause of the caste, and that is why they are providing actor and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan with statistics pertaining to corruption in your government," he said in the letter.

Mr. Padmanabham further said he was ready to face any inquiry the government might order into the source of finance for the Kapu movement.
