Daring mother saves daughter from leopard

COIMBATORE, May 26: Here is the incident happened that, A woman rescued her 11-year-old daughter from the jaws of a leopard, which was dragging her from the house.

According to the details, She kept beating the leopard with firewood at Valparai last night till it left the child and escaped.

The incident going viral on the social media. Thirty-year-old Muthulakshmi, along with her daughter Sathya, were picking firewood in the backyard of their house last night, when the feline pounced on the girl and began dragging it away by her neck, Police officials said.

Soon after, Immediately, Muthulakshmi hit the leopard so hard with the firewood that the animal let go of the girl and fled into the jungle, the police added.

Sathya was admitted to the Pollachi Government Hospital. There was a report that 15days back a woman in Kanchamalai area was attacked by the same leopard, department sources said.
