Petrol price can be cut by Rs 25 per litre

New Delhi, May 23: As we all knew that, Petrol And Diesel prices increasing rapidly over the past 10 days, many of the cities have been witnessed the heavy rates of petrol price that even touched to 80 mark.

In this regard, Congress leader and former Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram made interesting comments on the hike of the petrol prices

He has criticised the Centre for the fuel price hike and claimed that the rate can be reduced by Rs 25 per litre but the government is not doing it.

He took to his official twitter handler and made those sensational comments.

"It is possible to cut upto Rs 25 per litre, but the government will not. They will cheat the people by cutting price by Re 1 or Rs 2 per litre of petrol," he wrote on Twitter.

"Bonanza to central government is Rs 25 on every litre of petrol. This money rightfully belongs to the average consumer ", he stressed.
