Yeddyurappa to resign before floor test?

Bengaluru, May 19: The Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa has reportedly decided to resign as he is unlikely to get numbers to prove majority in the house.

Yeddyurappa has prepared a 13-page speech and is reportedly planning to quit like former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Pro tem Speaker G Bopaaih has adjourned the Assembly till 3.30 pm.

Ahead of Supreme Court's Verdict, The BJP led Karnataka CM Yeddyurappa has to prove his majority in floor test at 4PM today.

According to reports, BS Yeddyurappa has been instructed to resign amid horse-trading charges which would have led to the embarrassment to the party.

BS Yeddyurappa maintained silence throughout the session. On the other hand, Congress and Janata Dal (Secular) legislators are in jubilant mood.

Meanwhile, Yeddyurappa walked out of the House during the oath-taking ceremony of newly elected legislators.

Yesterday, Congress leaders had released an audio clip where BJP leader Janardhana Reddy is trying to lure Congress MLA from Raichur Rural by offering money and posts.
