Karnataka MLAs booked as Wedding Party

Bengaluru, May 19: As we know that, The Supreme court has ordered BJP's BS Yeddyurappa to prove its majority at 4 pm today.

The SC was hearing a petition filed by the Congress-JD(S) combine in Karnataka against the decision of Governor Vajubhai Vala to invite BJP's BS Yeddyurappa to form the government.

Ahead of Karnataka Political crisis, The 71 Congress MLAs and 35 JD(S) MLAs who came from Bengaluru were booked into two star hotels in Hyderabad in the name of a marriage party so that the BJP cannot zero down on their location.

In all, 125 rooms were booked in the Banjara Hills star hotel and 60 rooms at the star hotel at Madhapur for the stay of the MLAs who had arrived in the morning, Congress sources said.

AICC secretary in-charge of Karnataka Madhu Yashki Goud said Congress had obviously anticipated that the BJP would win more seats than it did.

"We certainly expected to win more seats. But a situation has arisen now for us to act decisively and quick and that is what we are doing, he added.
