Aadhar is mandatory for competitive exams...

New Delhi December 13 : Now-a-days, Aadhar Card involvement is gaining more importance for the identification process. It is very useful to identify the persons easily. Aadhar has photo and unique identity, which is also called as UID(Unique Identification).

Now Aadhar is considered as a mandatory, especially in competitive Examinations.

The Minister of Human Resource and Development Prakash Javadekar told in an exclusive interview - "After making the Aadhaar card mandatory for all candidates appearing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) to check impersonation, the govt has been extending the requirement to other competitive examinations.

In another exam reform proposal, the Centre is also planning to start a specialized 'National Testing Institute' to conduct all important examinations which are now being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

This (Aadhaar card requirement) is a work in progress and we will take it to other examinations also because the sanctity of examinations is very important.

Aadhaar is a photo and a unique identity. In some States we see impersonation, which will be prevented. This is a good thing."

candidates seeking entry to the prestigious IITs, NITs and designated institutes have to write the JEE (Mains) examination in 2017 using their Aadhaar, except Assam, Meghalaya and Jammu and Kashmir candidates.
