Karnataka Elections: 64% Voting recorded till 5PM

Bengaluru, May 12: The Karnataka Election voting has begun in the 222 of 224 Assembly constituencies in Karnataka at 7 am here on Saturday.

People were seen waiting in a long queue at a polling center in Mysuru.

Voting is underway in 58,008 polling stations of 30 districts across the state, with 600 of them as pink booths, manned by all-women personnel

64% voter turnout recorded in Karnataka till 5pm.

The coast demonstrated that its heart is in the right place when it comes to electoral politics, witnessing good voter turnouts in the three coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts.

The polling, which began at 58,546 polling stations, each equipped with Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verified Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs), will conclude at 6 pm.

The counting of votes and announcement of results will take place on May 15.
