PM Modi gifted a gold garland to an IIT Student

New Delhi, May 07: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi had written a letter and gifted a gold garland to an IIT Dhanbad student, who had asked the PM about the gold chain he was wearing during a rally in Madhya Pradesh.

The student had tweeted to Modi that he had liked the golden garland worn by the PM on Panchayati Raj Divas. The next day, the engineering student got a letter from the Prime Minister's Office saying he is being sent the garland by the PM and with good wishes.

Rabesh Kumar Singh, the mechanical engineering student from Dhanbad, had tweeted to PM Modi saying,"I was listening to you on Panchayati Raj Day, you gave a very nice speech. I liked the gold-colored garland you were wearing. Can I get the same?"

In reply to student's tweet, the PMO sent a letter to Singh expressing good luck with the golden garland. The letter from PM Modi reads,"I got your message on Twitter where you expressed your liking for the garland I wore at Mandla on Panchayati Raj Diwas. I am sending you a letter along with the garland as a gift. I wish you all the best for the future."

After receiving the letter and golden chain from the PMO, Singh shared another post with pictures wearing the same chain and showing the letter. The IIT student shared his joy on Twitter with a post, "I am honoured after receiving the gift and letter from you. Thank you very much for this beautiful gift and good luck message."
