Shocking news to Beer lovers in Telangana

Hyderabad, May 03: Here is the bitter news for beer lovers in Telangana. The Rate Contract and Negotiations Committee has recommended increasing the price of beer by 9 to 10 percent.

The committee suggested that 9 percent hike on light beer and 10 per cent on strong beer. Brewery companies have always wanted to increase the basic price. The government has set up a Rate Contract Negotiation Committee to determine the prices of liquor.

Retired Judge, a retired IAS and Chartered Accountant, comprises trio member committee has discussed the possibility of increasing base price. Some companies demanded 12 percent increase and other companies demand 15 percent.

These recommendations have now reached the Excise Commissionerate. The board of directors of Telangana State Beverages Corporation has to be approved. This file will then go to the Chief Minister. If CM KCR signed, the Beer prices will be hiked.
