TDP leaders launches Cycle Rally for Special Status

Vijayawada, Apr 27: AP TDP leaders and MLA Bandaru Madhava Naidu organized cycle rally for the second consecutive day in Narsapur Mandal in various villages on Thursday, in protest against the Centre's denial of Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh.

The MLA and the TDP leaders raised slogans against the Centre and demanded that the government accord the SCS to the State.



The rally started at Yarramsettyvaripalem village. From there, the MLA reached Sitarampuram and inaugurated water kiosk. Later, he distributed buttermilk to the pedestrians.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was striving hard for the development of the State.

However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had betrayed the state by ignoring his assurances to the state. The cycle rally covered Rustumbada, Sitarampuram South and North and Mangalaguntapalem.

Delta Project Committee chairman Pothuri Ramaraju, Mandal president Vatadi Kanakaraju, mandal TDP president Kottu Pandu and others participated in the rally.
