ACB caught Sub registrar red handed

Krishna, Apr 25: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths on Tuesday caught B Jagan, sub-registrar of Pedana mandal in Krishna district, red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 53,000 from M Narasimha Rao of Jangeru village in Pedana mandal for doing an official favour.

ACB DGP R Tagore in a press release said that the accused demanded and accepted Rs.53,000 from the complainant for registering partition deed of ancestral properties among his family members by rectifying a survey number wrongly typed in an earlier registration.

He said the money has been collected through a private employee J Venkata Krishna.He said the victim informed the ACB officials about the demand made by the sub-registrar for the registration of property. The ACB officials also seized Rs.1.20 lakh unaccounted money from the office in Pedana. The duo was produced in the court.
