GHMC to modify the flyovers in the city

Hyderabad, Apr 22: In a significant development, The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has taken up beautification of flyovers in its jurisdiction.
The Flyovers in the Hyderabad city will no longer remain mere concrete structures as they are now being decked up with colorful lights and greenery.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has already commenced the beautification works in different areas. The urban biodiversity, electrical and engineering wings of the municipal corporation have developed different plans for the purpose.
The flyovers will be embellished with colouful LED lights at night and greenery beneath the structures will add to the aesthetics.
In the first phase, the municipal corporation will take up beautification works at Masab Tank, Basheerbagh, Punjagutta, Greenlands, Telugu Talli, Hari Hara Kala Bhavan, CTO and Begumpet flyovers.
In addition to this, Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) will take up similar works at Hitech City and Gachibowli flyovers.
Municipal Administration and Urban Development Secretary Arvind Kumar and Mayor Bonthu Rammohan visited New Delhi and inspected the beautification works taken up at the flyovers.
Impressed with works, instructions have been issued to GHMC officials to replicate the works and complete them at the earliest.
