This is the 5th case in last 6 days

New Delhi, April 20: In yet another shameful incident, a 14-year-old girl has been sexually assaulted in the state's Mayurbhanj district.

This is the fifth case that has been happened til now in 6 days, While the Mayurbhanj incident occurred Wednesday night, four similar cases were reported in the state - one in Kalahandi and three in Balasore district - between April 13 and 17.

On a fateful day, the 14-year-old girl was on her way to attend a family function when Muna Nayak – a distant relative (brother in law) of hers from the same village kidnapped and took her to his house.

"I was going alone to my uncle’s house when he gagged my mouth with a cloth and abducted me. He took me to his house and raped me for two days," said the minor girl.

Yesterday, he released the girl after which she managed her way back home and narrated the ordeal to her parents. Following the incident, the angry locals staged a blockade on Karanjia-Anandpur road by burning tyres and demanding action against the culprit.
