AP Mahila Congress to intensify the struggle for SCS

Vijayawada, Apr 08: Andhra Pradesh Mahila Congress affairs in-charge Hazeena Syed on Sunday called upon the Mahila Congress cadre to intensify the stir demanding the Centre to accord Special Category Status (SSC) to the state.

Addressing the Mahila Congress leaders here, she asked them to be prepared to intensify the struggle, demanding the Centre to accord SCS to AP.

She told the Congress leaders and activists that the failure of the BJP led Centre in fulfilling the AP Re-organisation Act 2014 assurances should be taken to the people.The Telugu Desam party after hobnobbing with the BJP for four years had taken a "U" turn after people of the state came to the streets, launching massive agitations against the attitude of the Centre.

Ms Syed suspected that Chandrababu Naidu was maintaining secrete links with the BJP even after quitting the NDA for political mileage.

The Congress party would continue to organize various agitations till SCS is accorded to AP. AP Mahila Congress president Sunkara Padmasri, AP Mahila Congress social media coordinator Akula Bhagyalakshmi among other leaders and activists were also present in the meet.
