Samantha first look in Mahanati released

Hyderabad, Apr 06: Tollywood Gorgeous actress Samantha Akkineni, who bagged numerous accolades for her act as a village girl in Ram Charan's Rangasthalam, is going to enthrall the audience with yet another enchanting role in the biopic of iconic yesteryear actor Savitri, which has been titled as Mahanati.

Starring Keerthi Suresh in the titular role, the film will see Samantha playing the role of a journalist named Madhuravani through which the entire story of Savitri gets narrated.

Today evening, Samantha revealed her first look poster from this much-awaited film. In the poster, Samantha is seen sporting a quaint look with old-fashioned spectacles. She is flanked by newspapers and annals in what looked like a library. It looks like Samantha has got yet another impressive role this Summer.

The shooting formalities of Mahanati have been wrapped up and the film is slated for release on May 9th. Nag Ashwin is the director and Aswini Dutt is the producer.
