Rajya Sabha adjourned till 2 p.m. amid protests

New Delhi, Apr 04: Both the houses of Parliament today once again witnessed disruptions for the 20th consecutive day.

Ever since the session resumed after the recess, daily disruptions have marred proceedings and the House has failed to transact any business amid clamour by parties to take up the no-confidence motion against the government.

Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day as the members of the AIADMK trooped into the Well and raised slogans seeking immediate constitution of the Cauvery water management board.

Similarly, the Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 2 pm without transacting any legislative business after the Congress-led opposition created uproar over various issues including softening of provisions of the SC/ST Atrocities Act.
