BJP MP Savitri Bai Phule slams PM Modi Govt

New Delhi, Mar 28: BJP MP Savitri Bai Phule told to media she will hold a rally in Lucknow on Apr 1 against Modi govt's "anti-SC/ST policies" and said if BJP acts against her, it would be equal to an act against Constitution.

"There is continuous debate regarding the review of the Constitution and reservations, which is a disguised effort to end quotas," Phule said.

"I have already held a rally against the issue at Nanpara in Bahraich last year and now I am going to hold an Arakshan Bachao Rally [Save Reservation Rally] in Lucknow." She added.

She said the backward classes in the country will not be represented properly in the society if reservation is scrapped. "The government today does not seem worried about the issue," she stressed. However, Phule did not name any BJP leaders who were against reservations.
