Mahanati to release on the Special day?

Hyderabad, Mar 20: The Tollywood legendary actress Savitri biopic Mahanati is originally slated to release on March 30. However, reliable sources had confirmed that the film, which is high on visual effects, can't make it to theatres this month and is most likely to be pushed for a summer release.

On the occasion of Ugadi festival on Sunday, the makers released an official poster with the new release date as May 9.

The reason behind the release date is, On this day Megastar Flick "Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari" was released on May 9. So the sources said that It was a reason to release the film on that particular day.

Dulquer Salmaan, who makes his Telugu debut via this project, will be seen playing actor Gemini Ganesan. With massive set pieces, the film will be unlike anything that's explored in Indian cinema.

Also starring Samantha Akkineni, Vijay Deverakonda, Shalini Pandey and Prakash Raj, the film is being made on a lavish scale.
