Nokia Mobile exploded, Girl died on the spot

Odisha, Mar 18: As we knew that Mobile phone explosions have occurred while their batteries are being charged are not unheard of. Even experts have warned time and again against the use of a cellphone while charging saying it is unsafe. But unfortunately, such incidents continue to rise.

A similar incident occurred in Jharsuguda district of Odisha state. An 18-year-old girl died after her mobile phone exploded. The victim was on a call when the mobile battery exploded.

The mobile explosion left the victim with severe injuries to her chest, hands, and legs. The victim was brought dead to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). The event occurred in Laikera Police limits of Kheriakani village.

The girl was identified as Uma Oram. She was on a call with her relative when the mobile was being charged. Her brother, Durga Prasad Oram, claimed that his sister was using Nokia 3110 model and blamed it for the unfortunate incident.

The victim's family members and neighbors are demanding compensation from the manufacturing company of the mobile phone.
