YSRCP decides to file no-confidence motion on March 16

Hyderabad, Mar 15: The Andhra Pradesh opposition Party YSR Congress, which has been waging a relentless battle to achieve special status for Andhra Pradesh, has decided to intensify its struggle.

With the Centre not giving it a quarter even after fighting for the last fortnight, the YSRCP has decided to table a no-confidence motion on Friday.

To muster support for the motion, the YSRCP MPs have begun meeting the MPs of all parties including the TDP. They met BJP leader Bhartrihari Mehtab, TDP leader T Narasimham, TRS MP Jitender Reddy. The YSRCP MPs are also planning to resign their MP posts soon after Parliament is adjourned.

Earlier in the day, YSRCP MPs met at YV Subba Reddy's residence. Speaking after the meeting, Reddy said that the YSRCP would continue its battle and alleged that Chandrababu had bartered the interests of the state to save himself from the Cash for Votes. He said that it was only because of the YSRCP struggle that the issue has come back onto the agenda.

YSRCP MPs staged a dharna and protested at the Speaker's podium on Thursday. In the Rajya Sabha, MP Vijaya Sai Reddy continued the protest. Earlier, the MPs shouted slogans at the Parliament entrance gate.
