SSC exams begins today in AP

Vijayawada, Mar 15: The Andhra Pradesh Human Resource Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao wants students of 10th class to write their exams without any pressure. The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams are scheduled from Thursday (March 15 to March 29).

On Wednesday, Mr. Srinivasa Rao inspected the exam center at the Mandadam Zilla Parishad High School in Thullur Mandal of Guntur district.

Speaking to reporters, he said fool-proof arrangements had been made for smooth conduct of the exams. He said all the centres had basic facilities and warned that laxity on the part of officials would not be tolerated.

A total of 6,17,484 students would take the exams in 2,834 exam centres and 156 squads would be deployed to monitor them. Every district has a control room and a toll-free number.

Referring to the Centre Location App designed to help students locate their exam centre without any difficulty, he said students should make use of it. In the event of any doubt, students could call the toll-free number 18005994550.

At the school, he examined the benches and tables and said no student should have to sit on the floor to write the exam. He said all exams would be held from 9.30 a.m to 12 noon and Section 144 had been imposed at all exam centers.
