Nepalese President took oath

Kathmandu, Mar 14: A new president has taken Oath in Nepal.Bidhya Devi Bhandari has sworn in as the country's President for the second time at 4 p.m on Wednesday.

Bhandari got elected for a second term on Tuesday. The Election Commission of Nepal (ECP) has said that left party president has garnered 39,275 votes. Her opponent Laxmi Rai of the opposition Nepali Congress party secured 11,730 votes.

Bhandari is the first President of federal Nepal and She is also the first Nepali President to be elected as the country's president twice.

The voting for president has taken from 10 a.m. in the office of the Election Commission of Nepal (ECP) in Kathmandu ended at 3 p.m.
