YS Jagan accuses CM Naidu over Special Status for AP

Guntur, Mar 13: The Andhra Pradesh opposition leader and YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been enacting drama on Special Category Status (SCS).

His Praja Sankalpa Yatra entered Guntur district at Stuvartpuram on 110th day on Monday. He interacted with farmers and fishermen. Addressing a public meeting at Bapatla, Jaganmohan Reddy alleged that when asked support for a no-confidence motion, the TDP did not respond. He said if 25 MPs in the state mounted pressure on the Centre, we will get the SCS.

Accusing the Chief Minister of neglecting the interests of the state, he reminded people that till December 14, 2014, the Planning Commission was in force and Naidu neglected to raise the issue of the SCS before that time.

He further said that after YSRCP started mounting pressure on the Centre for the SCS, Naidu also changed his stand to gain political mileage. He said that though two Union ministers of TDP resigned from the Union Cabinet, the TDP did not come out of the alliance.
